Arthur Wayne Jones

Funeral services for Arthur Jones will be held Thursday, March 16, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Webb & Stephens Funeral Home - North, with Bro. Walter “Glenn” Scott Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Clearman Cemetery, located 1037 E.L. Johnson Rd Little Rock Ms. Webb & Stephens Funeral Home – North is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Jones, age 98, of Little Rock, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at home on March 13.

Arthur was a kind, caring and generous man. He was always willing to help anyone in need, either financially, physically or just with his support. He was loved by anyone who knew him and almost everyone called him “Paw Paw”.

Arthur cherished is wife, Annie Bell, and was always supportive of her involvement in her church activities. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather/great-grandfather, uncle and friend.

Mr. Jones is survived by his son, Alton Wayne Jones, Sr. and his wife, Virginia; his grandson, Alton Wayne “Tater” Jones, Jr. and his wife, Karen; great-granddaughter, Willa Rose Jones. He’s also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family, including a special niece and his longtime caregiver, Nancy Lou Mizell, as well as his furbabies, Penelope Jane, Yoda and Charlie.

Arthur was preceded by his wife of over fifty years, Annie Bell Jones; parents, William Thomas and Ella Jones; sisters, Lucille Penniger and Lorene Howard; brothers, Alton Elec Jones, Thomas Eugene Jones and Amos Jones; and his daughter-in-law, Mary Etta Combs Jones.

Pallbearers will be Austin Shepard, Mason Shepard, C.J. Hitt, Chris Hitt, Neal Shepherd and Dalton Shepherd. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne “Tater” Jones, Jr. and Jason Boles.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 15, from 5-7 p.m. at Webb & Stephens – North.
